In the Beantime Café opened in March 2006 at 18 High St., Ladysmith BC. The goal of the owners Scott Hull and Campbell McIntyre was to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere that the people of Ladysmith could gather and meet for great food and coffee.

Gulf Islands Roasting CoThe heritage building (circa 1899) that houses the café fits the persona of the café itself. Featuring homemade bread, homemade soups daily, fresh baked goods, and an in house coffee roasting facility; In The Beantime Café really does possess the values of years gone by.

The focus on friendly service and treating every customer with the utmost respect is a philosophy the both owners truly believe in. With a diverse menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, wraps, fruit smoothies, daily specials and hot food items, there is something for everyone.

The Beantime also boasts a large outdoor patio to be enjoyed in the summer months. We are open everyday from 7am to 5pm and 8am-5pm on Sundays.

In The Beantime Café employees 15 people in various positions such as cook, barista, prep cook, and dishwasher. Scott or Campbell can be reached at (ph) 250-245-2305,  (fx) 250-924-5470, or email cammac1010 [at] hotmail [dot] com.
