Services
The Ladysmith Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion has been a long established Service Club serving Veterans and the local community since it was part of the old Temperance Hotel in the 1940s.
As the years take their toll on Canada’s Veteran population, the Legion needs the infusion of new blood in order to maintain the many services provided by the Royal Canadian Legion to communities like ours across Canada. Membership was originally restricted to those who had served in Canada’s Armed Forces and Merchant Navy. The Royal Canadian Legion is proud of its military heritage and still maintains close ties with the Armed Forces today; however, over the years, categories of membership have evolved to include other members of the community.
The Executive members of this Branch are also focusing on a vision of becoming an established Social Centre that Ladysmith will embrace providing comfortable meeting places for groups and businesses as well as being capable of hosting social occasions and memorable dinner parties.
Come and visit us, see what we have to offer and find out how you can join and become part of the NEW Legion.
